Achieving Eco-Friendly Manufacturing by Installing Solar Power Systems at Group Factories

Transitioning to Renewable Energy to Target an Annual CO2 Reduction of 271 Tons

Shibuya is currently focusing on reducing environmental impact throughout all business activities to realize a sustainable society. As a symbolic initiative, we have installed a large-scale solar power generation system at the head office factory of our group company, "Shibuya Packaging System Co., Ltd." This system, consisting of 1,710 panels, generates approximately 559 MWh of clean electricity annually—equivalent to the power consumption of 170 average households—and covers about 33% of the factory's electricity needs. We expect this to reduce CO2 emissions by approximately 271 tons per year. Our commitment to a clean future extends beyond our products to the very "manufacturing processes" that create them.
