Driving an Eco-Friendly Society from Nomi with 257 Tons of Annual CO2 Reduction

Based on our Basic Sustainability Policy, Shibuya is actively promoting the adoption of renewable energy. On September 4, 2025, we commenced operations of a new solar power system on the roof of the assembly factory at the "Nomi Hi-Tech Plant." Featuring 1,024 panels across 2,766 square meters, the system generates approximately 501 MWh annually—equivalent to the power needs of 150 average households. This initiative is expected to reduce CO2 emissions by about 257 tons per year, contributing to a carbon-neutral society from one of our primary production hubs.

Accelerating Group-Wide Decarbonization for Sustainable Manufacturing

The installation at the Nomi Hi-Tech Plant marks our third large-scale project, following "Shibuya Packaging System Co., Ltd." and the Tsubata Plant. We believe our mission extends beyond creating high-quality machinery; we must also reduce environmental impact throughout our manufacturing processes. Shibuya remains committed to energy and resource conservation across all business activities, continuing to share our vision of "Eco-Friendly Manufacturing" globally to ensure a prosperous planet for the next generation.
