Some regions around the world already face water scarcity, and the United Nations Environment Programme predicts that water shortages will become even more severe in certain areas in the future. The Shibuya Group recognizes that addressing global water scarcity is an important issue that it must also address as a manufacturer of bottling equipment. To this end, we conduct water risk assessments and works to refine technologies for conserving water resources, including reducing water intake, promoting thorough water recycling, and ensuring appropriate wastewater treatment and water quality management. We also seek to recycle water to the greatest extent possible and ensure that any discharged water is properly treated to comply with water quality standards, as confirmed through water quality analysis. In response to growing global calls for the conservation of water resources, we also collect rainwater in storage tanks at some business sites for reuse.
