Sustainability Promotion Structure

Matters related to sustainability, including climate change, are discussed and reviewed by the Sustainability Committee, which is chaired by the director in charge. The Sustainability Committee has been established as one of the committees within the Shibuya Group’s internal control system, and matters discussed and reviewed by the Committee are reported to the Board of Directors at least once a year. To help realize a sustainable society, the Board of Directors has approved the Shibuya Group’s Basic Sustainability Policy. Going forward, the Committee will continue to consider specific initiatives and policies, including measures to address climate change.

Internal Awareness and Employee Education

The Shibuya Group has positioned “the promotion of sustainability management” as one of its management policies. To raise environmental awareness among all employees and encourage proactive initiatives, we implement a variety of environmental education and awareness-building programs. We also provide Group employees with educational opportunities, including e-learning, to help them gain a broad, foundational understanding of environmental management.
